As Pastor of St. Mary's parish, I count it a real privilege to have a Catholic school as part of the apostolic mission of Christ and His church. At the heart of Jesus' mission in the gospels is teaching. Jesus is our teacher, not only of religious truths, but of the whole person. Our Catholic school, as part of the Catholic Independent Schools of the Archdiocese of Vancouver, is part of the great tradition of the Catholic church in the education of the whole person.

Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Mary's School website. St. Mary's Catholic Elementary School offers education to children in Kindergarten to Grade 7. Our school, our parish, and each family, work together to build a community of faith and learning. We are all committed to the development of the whole child, spiritually, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Recognizing each child as a unique gift from God, we are committed to supporting each child's learning and development within the context of a supportive school and home team. This year's Archdiocesan Schools theme, "Let us Pray" reminds us of St. Augustine's message: "Do what you can and then pray that God will give you the power and the grace to do what you alone cannot."

At St. Mary's School, we offer a programme that is challenging both academically and spirtually, holding adults and children to high standards of behaviour and work. We are blessed with a dedicated and caring staff, who work to support our children in all aspects of learning.
