Catholic Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese follow the BC Ministry of Education curriculum in all areas.  Health and Career Education is taught with a specific Catholic focus and although we teach our faith formally on a daily basis, the faith is integrated into all areas in authentic ways.  French is part of the curriculum for all grades (KG to Gr 7)

Our Faith

What kind of fundraising does St. Mary’s School do?
Our Parent Association (a sub-committee of the Parish Education Committee) is responsible for organizing fundraising and other school activities.  The committee works hard to come up with fundraising ideas and activities that not only raise money for our school but also focus on building “community”.  We do not sell chocolate bars, books, stickies, wrapping paper etc., instead, our fundraisers are designed to be FUN-raisers !  We have a number of very popular events that our families look forward to each year.

Other activities?
A sense of “Community” in the school is high on our list of priorities!  We have class reps that keep our school families informed of upcoming events and we have a high rate of parent participation in the school.  Our school year begins with a “Welcome Back Barbeque”, we have family movie nights, Games Night, Dinner/Dances,  Monte Carlo Night, Ladies Spring Salad Evening and a Crib Tournament.   There is always something exciting happening in the school!
